Hi friends ,

Todays 1st reading speaks about our soul which is given by God and today's gospel is connected to last Friday's Gospel ( Relationship & Facing Reality) & last Wednesday's gospel ( Opening ourselves when we are hurt n seeking help from people ).

Ezekiel 37:1-4
Reflection on : Dying our old self n worries , leaving the wants behind , our flesh n skins ( Pride & Appearance ) , his breath enters us then we have new life.

* We pray today For All The Souls of our deceased Family , Relatives , Friends or Love ones.

Matthew 22:34-40
A Simple Word " LOVE " just like last friday's gospel of a relationship which LOVE involves.
A Relationship of our heart , mind ,soul & Loving everyone. Loving all is easier said then done.
Sometimes we have problems that stops us to LOVE n Accept our loves ones n friends or even in our community the best solution that our lord gave us is on last wednesday Gospel Matthew 18:15-20 is tat to trash it out privately with the person , if it still doesnt work then with a few trust worthy friends , if it still doesnt work then to the community. Most importantly To work things out with one another. ( Solving Your Issue Using the Help Of Proper Channels and Not Violence ! )

Trying to love and accept all by grace of God n interecession of our mother in total surrender,
Only Thru Prayer n Perserverance , We Can !

A Daily Reflection

Hi friends,

In todays 1st reading :-
God wants to have a good relationship with all of us , he wants to mould each and everyone of us as we are his creation and we are uniquely created by him.
My Rlnc : Is my human self filled with pride refusing God's guidance and his moulding ? Am I refusing to have a good relationship with him ? All things possible with God's Grace !

Gospel speaks on relationship of a husband and wife becoming one after sacrament of marriage in church.
My Rlnc : Religious and priest have the sacrament of holy order and celebacy, so they are married to only the church and to his community.
Couples married after a long or short dating ( Religious & Priest takes 7-8years of studies , thats also the dating part(Discerning) before the sacrament of Holy Order at the end of the studies ) , when marriage fails we should always seek help , same for religious order and priests. It all started with " LOVE " , if you dont love yo wont get into a relationship. We have people who have arranged marriage but it's total different context. When " LOVE " is involve there is always God, when there is God there is love and endless forgiveness. Jesus died for sinners and for love - we connect to our ministry of serve - also known as ministry of loving the people , giving un-conditionally as well. So lets not look hard at the obstacles , face them and TRASH them out with your community of friends , parents and love ones.

I pray for all of you , as we pray to our lord in our daily prayers and mass.

Speak Abt Being Open Not To Hide Everything In Ur Heart !

Hi friends ,

Todays Gospel really hit me to the level of my heart as Matthew 18:15-20

1) Speaks on being open and being honest dont keep things that hurt u in ur heart but rather talk to the person that hurt you or get people to help u and talk it out.
Rflc : Was I open to talk it out or getting help from others ?

2) Speaks on our worldly wants that has NO VALUE.
Rflc :Am I so tied down or have I over done with my things around me ?

3) Living in a community or family and they being always there for u and for me.
Rflc : When help is needed there are always your family and community of friends and relatives which we can seek help from. Dont (DIY) do it yourself as at times it dont work out.

So dont carry all your excess baggage urself , trust n surrender to the lord n he will come and rescue you !

Giving All You Have ! God LOVES Cheerful Giver !

Hi friends ,

I was reflecting , about the show I have watched some time back ( Narnia ) The Lion & Wardrob. I was looking at the example of Jesus's love In the Lion as a carrying person even until sacrifising himself . He is so humble n full of wisdom in loving n taking care to the needs of others. I recalled my horoscope which is also a LEO ( Lion ) and by God's grace I believe I be able to follow Jesus example as all of us are called to follow him , his way of life. Yesturday I was at the amplify gathering at Bedok Walk , the coordinators gave souveniors to all the team members that helped out in YISS06.They gave me one as well as I was a facilator back then. It was a hand made by the team. It wrote " u are GREAT " james. I recalled my patron saint , St James The Greater thru the coaster.

My Today's Reflection On the 1st & Gospel Readings :-

St Paul speaks to Corinthians in 1st Reading was on God Loves a Cheerful Giver , God's blessings is unlimited, We Need To Have Faith , Hope & Love in Our lifes & In Him.

St John speaks in the Gospel to me is by dying of my old self ( Changing & Letting go of Past ) moving forward only by doing that I will reap more harvest. Spoke to me also about not being too attached to the world using what is needed and not wants. He spoke to me also on being a servant ( To Serve me , We must follow him ) which I really reflected on my vocation to be faithfully n to serve just like Jesus did freely giving.

We pray that those serving in Ministry in his church will be faithfully like St Lawrence carrying for the neglected and sick till his death by being grilled for his Faith in Christ n persistence.

What Is Our Life All About ..... Fast Forward , Mute , Translate , Stop , Pause ? All In A Click ... A Bday Story :)

Hi Friends,

Yesturday I was celebrating my 23th Birthday. The day began at 5am in the morning in the House of Redemptorists at Ponggol , thou my family and friends celebrated with me had a great time on sunday's lunch at hotel rendevous. At about 6am I left for St Nicks School , together with Fr Simon and the seminarians bros on a weekly mass trip there on mondays. I experience God's Love Thru The Daily Mass Receiving Jesus which I yearn for daily but this day was made special for me as he got all in the school hall attending mass to pray 4 me. After the mass we all went to visit our fellow Rev Bro Cass which was sick in Mt Alvernia Hospital n had breakfast over there with Fr Bill which had juz celebrated mass there together with the seminarians bros they sang my bday song 4 me in the cafteria .... I am very touch. The day continued with a movie titled " Click " which I strongly recommend all to watch it. It spoke about a person who is a work-holic n negelcts his wife n childrens , wants n desire to have a universal remote control gadget and desires to skip the bad parts of life n fast forward , pause n use the functions of a click in the remote eventually he went down to a DIY store n searched for it and was led to a room named " beyond " which his dream came thru but he realised the consequences later when he was older thur his relationship with his family was broken n he was fast forwarding it n missing a lot of things n eventually his son followed his footsteps... He realised that he need a change when he was very sick in hospital n ran to his son and family after they left to tell him how sorry he was n not to follow his lifestyle of a work-holic. He died after that and was woken and realised that it was just a dream.

Some refection I had on watching this movie which ended with me tearing :-
- Are we facing reality at times n being practical ? Fast Forwarding The Un-happy moments by not facing it openly n god's grace of courage n to see BEYOND it ?
- What Lifestyle Am I living ? Do we care for the needs of our love ones n other around me ?
- Changing our lives only when bad things happen ? Why not NOW ? By the grace of God we can ! On my bday card wrote my favourite quote from St Paul which was on my 1st posting on this blog "In all your moments of weakness the Lord works best in you " Amen !
- God's love n forgiving grace never end as he gave us many chances which can be seen on this movie " Click ".

The day continued at phil's hse in bedok with 3 of us including myself for lunch which he cooked for me nice grilled chicken wing which I happen to take 3pcs n 2more. I remembered the nos of my age n the wings I consumed the 3 is the blessed trinity always with me and the 2 the always the angles michael n gabriel always protecting me.We had also fruit punch , sushi , red wine , wedges n coleslaw.

After lunch , I went for mass at Risen Christ at 6pm with 2 youths. After mass we ate sushi at sake sushi in Toa Payoh Entertainment Ctr. Had A Great Time There As Well. Nite Continued with a talk at Risen Chirst Church by Fr Arro which spoke on sacraments n celebration and ended at 930pm.

Special thank to a church parishoner who lives in sengkang gave me a ride home to the redemptorist hse in ponggol. To my surprise at the hse the redemptorist seminarians celebrated my bday with me with a cake I bought on sunday nite.

Had A very Beautiful Bday celebration with God's Choosen People.

A Show I Watched ... Nacho Libre ... Being driven for God's Purpose n Perservering Spirit Till ENd ...

Hi friends ,

I was watching a show - Nacho Libre recently , that really makes me think after n reflect n to share on this post.

Nacho a young boy he dreamt n wanted to a strong n great famous wrestler , he lives in a monastery with the friars taking care of ophans n cooking for them.

He was not a popular person among his friars. He was made the cook by the superior n they live in poverty n eating lousy food which no one enjoys eating as they were poor.
The Scrabs of lousy Nachos were given to them n that was the best for them.

When he grew up with the friars he was inspired to live his childhood dream of a wrestler. A nun came along to stay with the ophans n to teach them , nacho had a crush on her. They had great sharings at late nites together and even tried to impress her with his strength n wrestling skills . He then set out with a beggar thief to play matches which were illegally. He losts many but the audiences enjoyed matches played by him n paid him. He now no longer lives in poverty , he then shared his winnings with the ophans as well.

After times of loosing matches he got tired n want to win n be well known n not be looked down on he tried many ways like clubbing up hill to fetch eagles egg as was told he will receive magical powers by consuming them. He failed again. He proposed a challenge a great top wrestler one day , they agreed provided he wins the next match. He n his partner played n they came in 2nd. They lost.

Once , he was in the chapel dressed in religious habit ( his cassock ) lighted with a candle he placed it on the altar ( front) as he stood down to place the candle his habit caught fire n he was revealed his inner clothings the friars saw his wrestling attire , he admitted he was a wrestler n he left the community into the wilderness to live. He remembered what his crush , the nun spoke to him about his purpose in wrestling , he remembered was to win n to share what he has.
His partner the beggar was upset n injured the wrestler that won them in order for Nacho to play with the top wrestler.

They had a tough match n Nacho perserved n Won n was made the Top Wrestler !

We can learn from this story:-

1) To have right purpose driven With Right Intentions In Heart ( To Serve , Help Others )
( I haved Read a nice book " The Purpose of Driven Life " by Rick Warren )

2) To perservere in what we do n trusting in the Lord thats wat made Nacho won the final n tough battle.

Potters Hand ! Jesus Hand

My Potter , I give you to take control of me to do your will. ( Lord Jesus ! )

Todays 1st Readings from Jeremiah spoke about Following The Potter to his House... Working @ the Wheel ... vessel he made came out wrong he would start afresh ... Clay IN Potter's hand , so you are mine.

I look at myself today under the potter's hand for formation of spiritual growth , potter's in today contacts are people who have the gifts of knowlege & Preaching from God. Well we should follow them as they language us , it's good to see in different perspective of things and try not to be disturb by things they say at time n to look at a broader aspect. The Ultimate great potter who is human like us is Jesus The Chirst who came to save us. We work at the wheel and when sometimes we do not control our wheels things get out of hand but we should never be afraid he always encourages us to start anew. We are all in his hands for him , let us allow him to take control of us as we are his and mould us according to his will as we follow him ( His Footsteps ) in our daily life loving n growing with one another.

Lets us pray for all the Potter's of today ( Teachers , Lecturers , Religious , Priests , Doctors , Lawyers , friends , parents etc... ) who are in this front line of moulding us and not to forget our greatest potter Chirst Jesus ^ Amen.

Living In A Community

My Reflection Today

Living in a community takes me up alot of challenge on accepting one another , knowing our weakness as well as others but doing our best in what we can. Well sometimes I thought getting ppl to accept you is not important well truely we believe in Jesus he came for the abandoned n outcast n all the unwanted people.

Today's gospel spoke on the Treasures sometime we hide them after finding them ... looking for fine pearls ... greed for more.

We have many Treasures in life they are our GIFTS from GOD. We Must full utilise our gifts and not hide them... at times we search for more ... at times we need refinement as we grow more refine we get. Sometimes we ask so much from the lord , He never did ask us how are we going to return back to hime. The best way is to serve n do it with love . We must always understand his grace for us is plentyful even we are sinners. Often , Confession is good to reconcile with him n doing our best to change our ways to follow his way.

My Recommendation for going to confession is 2-4 weeks once , which I usually do.

Honesty , Humility, Humanity--- I will always remember this , St Pats my Sec school.
Simplicity is my key !
